ABOUT

Enjoy a nice ride from the city center along the river and outside of Prague. On the way we pass Kunratice forest and go on Greenway (Prague-Vienna) bike path. Biking time is about 2.5 hours including small stops. The ride is mostly flat with one hill on the way (elevation from 190 to 315meters). After we reach small and beautiful medieval castle Pruhonice. It is built on a rocky promontory above the stream Botič, close to the Romanesque manor in which only the Romanesque Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is still-standing. The first written report on Průhonice owners dates back to the 1270s.

In Pruhonice town we will have a great lunch break and after we will take a walk and exploree the castle, park and botanical garden. The natural park (the area of 250 hectares) was founded in the year 1885 by the Count Arnošt Emanuel Silva-Tarouca. We will not cover all the areas of the park but we can see and enjoy the result of long and hard work of the Count Arnošt which considered as original masterpiece of garden landscape architecture of worldwide importance. It has artistic and historic significance and also valuable from the dendrological point of view with the collection of about 1600 species of local and exotic plants.

We will return to Prague by train. Our trip ends at the Praha Bike office around 17:00. For the whole trip you will be accompanied with our friendly and very helpful tour guide.

Note: Use of regular & electric bikes are allowed for the same tour. The tour goes at an easy and not a fast pace and using an e-bike will not make you go faster but makes the trip easier.

SAFETY:
At Praha Bike, your safety is our priority! Our quality bikes are well-maintained, comfortable and made for riding in Prague. The tour moves at a comfortable pace so that everyone can enjoy the sights. Our well-planned routes manage to avoid tourist crowds and high traffic areas. We stay on side streets, bike paths and ride in green area and parks. Helmets are always recommended but are not obligatory for those over 18 y.o. (in accordance with Czech law).

REQUIREMENTS:
Guest must be able to ride a bike, no training is provided except how to control breaks & gears on bicycle or e-bike.

MEETING POINT:
All tours start and finish at the Praha Bike main office located just 200 meters away from Prague's Old Town Square at Dlouha 24, Prague 1.
